Artificial Intelligence

AI that works on the record, not beside it

Matrix One puts AI inside the quality record itself. Matrix Mind answers questions grounded in your live project data, the Compliance Checker assesses your project against the standards you hold, the Traceability Checker finds the gaps in your links, and nothing is written into your instance without a person approving it first.

For taking a demo with our team.

Matrix One

The challenge

Why a chatbot beside your QMS does not solve this

An assistant outside your system works on whatever you paste into it, which for a regulated team is a second uncontrolled workflow running alongside the first.

  • It works on copies. The extract was true when it was pasted, and every change since is invisible to it.
  • It cannot see traceability.Coverage gaps and orphaned risks are relationships between records, and a pasted document has none.
  • It leaves no audit trail. The reasoning behind a decision ends up somewhere your quality system cannot reach.
  • Somebody carries the answer back. That retyping is where the time saving goes and where errors enter a controlled document.

Our solution

AI as a function of the system

Our AI features start from the live record, inherit the controls the platform already enforces, and hand every decision back to a qualified person.

  • Grounded in real project data.Answers reference the records they came from, so they can be checked rather than trusted.
  • Human review before anything is written.AI generated content appears in a review interface and enters your documentation only on your confirmation.
  • Nothing changes on its own. Each proposed change is shown as a redline, applied only when a person approves it, with that person's permissions, and can be undone. The AI never deletes records.
  • Zero data retention.Every AI provider we use (Anthropic, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock) is bound by a zero data retention agreement, and we do not train or fine-tune any model on your data.

Capabilities

What you can use today

Three AI features, plus AI built into everyday screens.

01

Matrix Mind

Ask about your project in plain language, get answers that cite the items they came from, and let it propose changes that a person approves as redlines.

Learn more

02

Compliance Checker

Import a standard you hold as a PDF, turn it into a checklist and assess your project against it, with every finding sent to your review.

03 / Matrix Req 3.1

Traceability Checker

Finds missing links, judges whether existing links really hold, and suggests what should fill each gap. Findings can be dismissed, solved or re-checked.

04 / Matrix Req 3.1

Redlining Summary

AI built into everyday screens: a plain-language summary of what changed between two versions of an item.

The closed loop

From a gap to a fix, with a person in charge

An external chatbot cannot do any step after the first.

01

A checker finds a gap

The Compliance Checker or the Traceability Checker flags what is missing or what does not hold.

02

Matrix Mind proposes the fix

As new items, links or document edits, drafted from the live project.

03

A person reviews each change

Every change is shown as a redline, with a warning if the item changed since. Apply one, or apply all.

04

The change is made with that person's permissions

The AI can never do more than the approving user, and the reason lands in the audit trail.

05

Undo stays available

Every applied change can be undone, and the AI never deletes records.

Frequently asked

The questions buyers ask first

01Does Matrix One have AI?

Yes. Matrix Req 3.1 has three main AI features: Matrix Mind, the assistant built into the platform, the Compliance Checker, which assesses your project against a standard you import, and the Traceability Checker, which finds and explains gaps in your links. AI is also built into everyday screens, such as the redlining summary. All of it runs inside your existing Matrix environment with no separate setup.

02Can the AI change our records?

Only with your approval. The AI never changes anything on its own. Each proposed change is shown as a redline, applied only when a person approves it, done with that person's permissions, and can be undone. It never deletes records.

03Is our data used to train the models?

No. We do not train or fine-tune any model on your data. Every AI provider we use (Anthropic, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock) is bound by a zero data retention agreement. Your data is processed only to answer your request, is never stored by the provider, and is never used to train a model.

04Who owns the output the AI generates?

You do. Your data remains the exclusive property of your organisation at all times, input and output alike, and Matrix One and its suppliers acquire no rights, title or interest in it.

05Which Matrix products have AI features?

Matrix Req carries Matrix Mind, the Compliance Checker, the Traceability Checker, AI enhanced design control, AI supported risk management and technical documentation generation. Matrix Quality has a read-only assistant in pilot today, with proposals under human confirmation on the way, and Matrix Connect is the data platform behind AI enabled connected devices.
